The Lord of the Flies cast (the more important ones, that is. Should view high res)

Uhm, so yeah. I really wanted to draw these guys ‘cause I love this book and I dunno ~IT JUST HAPPENED~ I’ll color these guys eventually. And, I’m gonna explain them all, even though people probably won’t even care. Pff woteva.

Ralph: Obviously the first one I drew. Ralph is always first. The eye on my right pained me. Like, a lot. It was always too high up, and still is. I mean, his head is tilted, because I tilted my head when I drew him — SOO, I guess it’s explainable. I was scared to draw his hair, but it turned out all right. Usually light-colored, straight, longish-short hair is weird. He’s probably yelling about fires or smoke or something. What a logical turd.

Jack: My second favorite character. Tried to make his face-build longer; I imagine he’s a pretty lanky kid. Freckles for gingerness. And curly-wavy locks because anything else looks stupid, and this is how I pictured him. Judging frown + unimpressed look due to his.. nature? I like how he ended up.
Simon: MY FAVORITE character lol. Rounder cheeks because he’s the innocent baby, big, curious eyes. Golding described his hair as a “black hut of straight hair.. course” or something to that degree. I never really imagined him (or any others) with really long hair. So it’s just course. Staying on an island will make it messy and chunky. He gets a different part in his hair because if he didn’t they’d all. go. left. ALSO, his mouth. I redid that like 29836 times. Wasn’t sure of big grin or frown, or whatever. He had to look spacey.

Roger: I drew him without much difficulty, surprisingly. Cold, dark eyes. Amused smirk. Head slightly cocked, and some loose, messy hair. He turned out exactly how I wanted him to. Does he look evil?

Piggy: Honestly, I really hated Piggy in the book. He was a total pushover and I would have likely punched this kid lol not gonna lie. He was a chubcake, so uh, yeah I tried. And he’s short. And looks scared and sad because he’s a crybaby. Piggy.

Maurice: Oooh, Maurice. He was like the filler in this compilation because I don’t really remember him much. Then again, his character supposedly represented the average man, who just blindly follows the crowd, so it makes sense that I don’t have any striking memories of this guy. Regardless, he’s a smiley boy, and I bet he’d be really nice, all-around-guy if he was real. Square-ish face and short curly dark brown hair. Tried to make him look normal and plain, with no defining features, but he ended up as one of my favorite drawings? lol. Must be the chin and the curly hair.

Samneric: The twins. Ugh, this was hard as hell. Trying to draw basically the same person twice is like.. Really, really difficult for me. Their hair flips differently.. SO CREATIVE HA HA. The fact that I drew Eric higher up on the paper bothers me, because he’s not aligned to his brother, or anyone else, which makes it look strange. I wanted them to be the last two on the page, otherwise Maurice would have been placed last.
